Tuesday, Nov. 4 2025, is Election Day, and New Jersey residents will be voting for their next governor. Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli are running in the general election for New Jersey governor. Democrat Governor Phil Murphy is currently holding office.
According to NBC New York, in a poll from Emerson College out Thursday, Oct. 30, Mikie Sherrill has 49% and Jack Ciattrelli has 48% of New Jersey voter support from early voting. About 3% of voters were undecided.
Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. At least 10 drop boxes will be available in each New Jersey county.
The voter registration deadline was Oct. 14. Registrants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age and will have resided in their county for at least 30 days by the time of the election.
The early voting period (Oct. 25 to Nov. 2) has passed. Oct. 28 was the deadline to apply for a mail in-ballot by mail, and Nov. 3 was the deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot in-person.
