The Top 10 Super Bowl Commercials

This year’s collection of Super Bowl commercials has been extremely successful in reaching its target audience. Here are the top 10 ranked commercials:

  1. Planet Fitness | “What’s Gotten Into Lindsay?”

Planet Fitness has made their campaign slogan: “Feeling Fitacular,” having Lindsay Lohan as the star of the commercial. The commercial pokes fun of Lohan’s rough past, showing that it’s possible to have redemption. The point of the commercial towards the end is Planet Fitness will help you do so, just like they did for Lohan.

  1. Amazon Studios |  Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power Trailer

Super Bowl viewers now have gotten the sneak peek of the Ring Of Power, which is the prequel series to Lord Of The Rings. The only downside is that viewers now have to wait until the fall for the show.

  1. Uber Eats | “Uber Don’t Eats”

In this commercial, people eat everything but actual food, including clean diapers, dish soap, flowers, and even sponges. Then Uber Eats comes into play, and their solution of eating everything but food resolves.

  1. Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen For “Lays Golden Memories”

What’s better than combining two hilarious comedians into one commercial? Go on, I’ll wait… Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen’s “golden memories” represent the light and fun things they used to experience, just like Lays Potato chips.

  1. Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus for T-Mobile

Dolly Parton teamed up with her very own goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. The two singers represented T-Mobile, singing songs about their cell phones having no network reception. Overall the inside jokes (referencing America’s Got Talent) brought the commercial together as a whole.

  1. Rocket Mortgage | Dream House

Rocket Mortgage’s “Dream House”  managed to portray Barbie Life In The Dream House by advertising the harsh reality of buying a house.

  1. Cable Guy (Verizon)

When Jim Carrey —the cable guy — shows up at some lady’s door, she explains that she doesn’t need any wires in her house due to having Verizon wireless. The cable guy is more than shocked when he finds out that he doesn’t need to have dozens of wires all over the place. This is a game-changer for sure.

  1. Pringles: Stuck In

As silly as this commercial was, the many different scenes of the guy with a pringle container stuck on his hand were extremely funny (the hospital scene being the best).

  1. Amazon Mind Reader

The Amazon Alexa is a very popular device in many households. But does it listen to everything that goes on around the house? Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost learn that they might need to watch what they say, so they don’t end up embarrassing themselves (again) when Alexa repeats things.

  1. Coinbase’s QR Code

This 1-minute commercial was a floating rainbow QR code that bounced around the screen. This is pretty genius if you ask me. The only downside is, some people may have been confused. They may not have realized that they should be scanning this code with their phones.
