The Student Government Association and the senior class hosted the Annual Blood Drive in the on Friday, March 3rd in the Auxiliary Gym. The blood was donated in hopes of helping patients to in need of organ transplants, heart surgeries, or any other procedures involving blood transfusions. The event was sponsored by New York Blood Center. Senior class treasurer Katie Keiser, was very hands-on in running the event. “I wanted to give students the opportunity to help others and hopefully save a life,” Keiser said. Senior Grace Fanning, donated blood for the first time at the drive. “I wanted to help others who aren’t as fortunate with their health as I am,” Fanning said.
The blood drive was a well organized success and both SGA and student council hope to continue working with the New York Blood Drive to save lives in the future.
