Boys lacrosse has had a hot start to the 2018 season. The Raiders hold a record of 5-1, with their lone defeat coming at the hands of Millburn in overtime with two seconds left.
Offensively the Raiders are led by Senior Jack Brady and juniors Noah Costanzo and Anthony Porter. Brady has a team-high 23 points while Costanzo has a team-high 16 goals and Porter leads the team in assists with 13.
As for the defense, senior Harrison Parada has had a great start to the season and senior goalie Tom Bruckman has 55 saves on the season. The defense has held opponents to an average of 5.66 goals per game.
The Raiders have a new challenge in front of them as they face Bernards who are 4-1 on the year.
“They’re a tough team,” Senior goalie Tom Bruckman said. “But we will go all out against them and hopefully come out on top.”
Prediction: Scotch Plains wins by a final score of 10-6. Brady scores 3, Alex Oslislo scores 2 and Porter has 4 assists while Bruckman finishes with 15 saves on the day.
