The Raiders’ girls lacrosse team had a 16-6 victory on Monday, April 3rd at home against Millburn. Last year, Raiders girls lacrosse had a record of 8-12, while Millburn had a record of 11-7. It was a very competitive game, but with Raider girls winning many of their draws set them.
Juniors Amber Bretz, Sabrina Dilollo, Erica Paprocki, and Kelly Mehorter contributed to the high score of the game with each contributing important goals
The Raider defense has clearly improved since their first game and they hope to continue to improve in order to keep their winning streak.
“By the third game, our defense was really strong and we’ve been improving so much every game,” junior Amber Bretz said.
After the half, they added five goals to the scoreboard. Towards the end of the game, the Raiders continued the strong momentum and finished strong with goalie Haley Nakonechny running the ball up the field.
