On Apr. 14, Varsity Boys Tennis defeated Cranford by winning all of their doubles and singles matches.
Sophomore Adam Mayerson kicked of the Raider’s success by winning the first match of the afternoon.
“I think in my previous matches I wasn’t as successful as I was today.” said Mayerson. “I’ve looked at what I’ve been doing wrong in those matches and I fixed it today.”
Following Mayerson’s successful win, the rest of the Raiders performed just as well on the tennis court.
- Singles
- Ewan Jones: 6-2, 6-1
- Brandon Glickstein: 6-4, 7-6, 7-2
- Adam Mayerson: 6-1, 6-3
- Doubles
- Robbie Viglione and Andrew Ray: 6-3, 6-3
- Neel Thombre and Ryan Cleary: 7-5, 6-1
Despite the win for the team, the Raiders still have important matches coming up.
“I’m excited to play Summit, Livingston and Westfield always because it’s a big challenge.” said Mayerson. “It’s very good to play people who are at such a higher level for tennis.”
