Senior co-captain Ari Rosenzweig scored three of the Raiders’ five goals, accumulating his first hat trick of the season, in the Raiders 5-0 victory over Governor Livingston at Wexler Field on Oct. 13.
The Raiders took control of the field from the start of the game. Senior Alex Guevara scored the first goal a quarter way through the first half. The game was primarily an offensive one for the Raiders, with GL rarely challenging the Raider defense. Seniors Jordan Cimring and Zach Halma notably controlled the ball throughout the game.
Rosenzweig and sophomore Jonathan Schwab both scored penalty kicks due to GL fouls in the 18-yard box.
“I was very happy about with the way we played today,” said coach Tom Breznitsky. “Especially going into the Thursday game, not only with Westfield, but at this particular point of the season, this is when you want to have your team playing well.”
The Raiders look to avenge their previous loss against Westfield and win this Thursday at Gary Kehler Field in Westfield.
