Senior Rosalie DePaola, left, and sophomore Gabriella DePaola, right, work the sales table at the Beads of Hope fundraiser on Nov. 19. The event was co-hosted by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Interact Club, the student arm of the local Rotary club, to raise money for Set Her Free, a non profit organization that benefits the women of war-torn Uganda. Jewelry, handmade by Ugandan women, was sold at the event and during school lunches. More than $5,000 was raised to benefit women in the Kampala, Uganda, branch of Set Her Free.
