For the fifth year, Scotch Plains and Fanwood will be celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan 20 with a day of service. Events include making crafts for pediatric cancer patients at The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation at 11:15, a blood drive at the JCC at 11:30, helping serve lunch at Nickʼs pizza (half of the proceeds will go to charity), and making valentines for the troops at 1:30 at the YMCA.. Students aged 16 and older can also help Resolve Community Counseling Center become more tech savvy at 1:00 at the YMCA. For more information, go to http://spfmlkday.wildapricot.org.
