Construction continues at the shore following Hurricane Sandy while rebuilt and renovated boardwalk attractions await summer vacationers
As early as May 4, the optimistic attitude of the New Jersey shore community was evident.
While many shore attractions are open, visitors will be met with signs of the ongoing clean-up operation, expected to last through the summer in the hardest hit towns.
Arcades, restaurants, and boutiques on the Seaside Heights boardwalk look better and more modern after months of intense reconstruction efforts.
Funtown pier, which suffered the most damage of Seaside’s two piers, is set to be completely restored in time for the summer, though on May 4 much work remained to be done.
