Repertory Theatre’s March production of The Wedding Singer was ranked among the top six in the state by the Papermill Playhouse Rising Star program. The play was nominated for outstanding overall production of a musical, outstanding performance by an actress in a supporting role for senior Julia Mendes, outstanding performances by both the chorus and pit orchestra, and outstanding achievements in direction, choreography, hair and makeup, and lobby design. These awards honor outstanding achievement by students and faculty of high school musical theater across New Jersey and are judged by 100 theater professionals, artists, designers, and educators who view the school plays. The winners will be announced on June 4 at the awards ceremony.
