The Repertory Theatre production of The Wedding Singer, which opened on March 8, starred senior Rachel Naugle as Julia and Centinaro as Robbie. The play, based on the 1998 movie, tells the story of Robbie, a down-on-his-luck wedding singer and his attempts to win over Julia, who is engaged to a successful Wall Street businessman. Matthew Capodicasa, ‘05, directed the play, his third after Hairspray and Anything Goes. Music teacher Jan Allen produced the play and served as music director.
The cast spent months rehearsing for its six performances. “I love performing, there is not a better feeling in the world…I love making people smile, so watching the audience’s reactions while on stage is amazing,” said junior ensemble member Megan Foley.
