The more things change, the more things stay the same.
On Friday, Oct. 16th the Raiders opened their season on the road against the Woodbridge High School Barrons in a freezing rainy game, which they lost 41-19.
The Raiders failed to stop Barrons running back Ali Lee Jr. giving up 241 yards on 23 carries (10.5 yards per carry).
The Raiders had opportunities to change the momentum of the game, but Woodbridge’s defensive line was no match.
Senior running back Shawn Martin was outstanding, scoring two rushing touchdowns and having a large role in the passing game.
While this was a tough start to the season, they have a great opportunity to bounce back in their first home game under the lights against Cedar Grove on Friday night, Oct. 23 at 7pm.
