Westfield’s boutique Anthology is now boarded up in anticipation for construction, and a sign directing their customers to their new location sits inside their main store window. Last May Anthology suffered destruction due to a fire at neighboring restaurant, Ferraros. Unable to continue business at their store due to the damages, Anthology moved to a new location down the street on August 18. The new store is located at 121 Central Avenue. Anthology’s customers were not able to shop at the store during the three and a half month transition period between stores.
Frequent Anthology Shopper and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School sophomore Tracey Katz said, “Since Anthology went out of business for a couple of months, I went to Jenna and Molly and visited the mall more than I would have if Anthology had been open.” With their new location running smoothly, Anthology is making up for the business they lost while they did not have a location for their store. SPFHS senior and Anthology employee Kaitlyn Laffin said, “The new location has been going great, but we are planning to move back in to the old store by Ferraros in January.”
