After a series of mental episodes concerning his fans and peers, Kanye West checked himself into a hospital on Nov. 21, 2016.

West began by ending a show early in Sacramento, California on Nov. 19 2016, after singing three songs and going on a half hour rant about Beyonce and Jay-Z, Hillary Clinton, and race issues in the US.

West proceeded to cancel the next day’s show, enraging even more fans. Soon after, West cancelled the rest of his shows.

Insiders reported that West checked himself into the hospital due to exhaustion. At the time, West was working on his coveted Yeezy clothing line while he was on his Saint Pablo Tour, performing every night in a different city.

Along with his work, West was dealing with personal troubles at home, as his wife was still facing tremendous amounts of stress after she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Although left unharmed, Kim Kardashian West was robbed of $11 million of jewelry during fashion week.

“I really do understand what he’s going through,” sophomore Shannon Persaud said. “I haven’t been through something like that, but after hearing about all the circumstances that he has been through, I understand his need to end his tour and focus on himself.”

West was released from UCLA Medical Center on Nov 30, and has recently been seen on the streets of Los Angeles.
