Lady Raiders defeated by Watchung Hills

The Lady Raiders suffered a tough loss against Watchung Hills today, with a final score of 54-35, Watchung Hills.  This game was the
first round of the Keith Benovengo Memorial Tournament. The girls played their best in a very heated game.  Senior Micaiah Battle led the scoring with 16 points through the game, followed by senior Amani Williams with 7 points.  Sophomore Nya Downing had 4 rebounds, along with Battle.  As the girls trailed behind for most of the game, at crowd never lost their energy and still cheered the girls on until the final buzzer.  When asked after the game what the toughest part of the game was, Battle commented “Working with the team and gelling together everyone’s personal strengths and weaknesses”.  She also said “We win as a team, and we lose as a team”.  
The Lady Raiders will face Sparta in the consolation game this coming Wednesday at 12:00pm.
