Track coach and math teacher Jeffrey Koegel will be inducted into the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association Hall of Fame on March 30. Koegel is one of 37 coaches to be honored this year.
“Coach Koegel is a consummate professional; he is meticulous in his efforts to improve athletes,” said Vice Principal for Athletics Ryan Miller.
Coaches can be nominated by either the athletic director of a school or an athletic conference director, and are chosen for their record, longevity and integrity. Since his arrival in 1996, Koegel has led the track team to 12 conference titles, seven county titles, and two state titles. Koegel and boys soccer coach Tom Breznitsky, a 2009 inductee, are the only coaches from the school to be recognized.
