On Friday, Mar. 1st, early 2000s teen rock sensation the Jonas Brothers surprised fans with a new song titled “Sucker”, their first song together in almost six years. Within the first week of its release, “Sucker” has already reached the number one spot on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and Twitter.
At the same time as the song’s release, the band also posted a music video to go along with it. The video features all three of the brothers and their wives and wives-to-be, Priyanka Chopra, who is married to Nick Jonas, Danielle Jonas, who is married to Kevin Jonas and Sophie Turner, who is engaged to Joe Jonas.
Over the course of the next few weeks, the band will be doing various press related appearances to promote the song, including a week stint on The Late Late Show hosted by James Corden. So far, they have participated in popular games such as Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts, performed a parody version of their famous cover of Year 3000 entitled Year 2019 and regular interviews as talk show guests. On Thursday, they will be doing the famous Carpool Karaoke segment with host Corden.
In addition to “Sucker”, the Jonas Brothers also announced that they are teaming up with Amazon Studios to produce a documentary about their early lives in the band and everything that went down behind the scenes. They also teased an upcoming tour. Neither of these events have specific dates out yet, but fans, young and old, will certainly be following the band closely to find out what they will be doing next.
