On Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, the curtain rose for the 76th Golden Globe Awards. The competition was tough, as 2018 had many mind-blowing movies and TV shows that were nominated. In the category of Best Motion Picture, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” a Queen-dedicated biography, won in drama, while “The Green Book” won as a musical or comedy.
Rami Malek won Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Drama for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Glenn Close also won the same award in the actress category for her performance as Joan Castleman in “The Wife.”
As for Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Christian Bale claimed the award  for his role in “Vice” as Dick Cheney, while Olivia Coleman snagged the award for her role as Queen Anne in “The Favourite.”
Other awards giving out included Best Supporting Performance, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Original Song and Best Foreign Language Film.
