Saturday, October 28th was the third annual Trunk or Treat event hosted by the town of Scotch Plains. The Trunk or Treat took place on Park Ave and the Alan Augustine Village Green from 3:00pm to 5:00 pm. The day was filled with costumes, contests, and candy.
Park Avenue was filled with costumes- from animals to pirates to Harry Potter to zombies, people of all ages dressed up. Park Avenue was also filled with a line of cars, all decorated for Halloween.
Some of the cars included was a hearse, a fire truck, and a police car, and other cars with themes such as Monsters Inc, Disney, and board games like Candyland and Monopoly. Along with cars handing out candy, tables were set up with baked goods, including Halloween decorated cupcakes and cookies.
Next to the town hall, the dog costume parade was proven to be a success, as it was hard to resist dogs dressed up as vampires and other animals. It is undeniable that everyone enjoyed the 3rd annual Trunk or Treat, and we hope to see it next year for its 4th!
