Baseball Team Preview

Baseball- The baseball team completed a 2014 campaign with a loss against Westfield to finish the season at 10-11. This year, the team will see many of the same faces, but a different one at coach. Tom Baylock stepped down as coach after 11 seasons last year, and the team will now be coached by Joe Higgins. As for the team itself, they will receive a ton of veteran leadership. Top seniors include four year starters Kevin Maxwell and Matt Marino, to go along with two college bound players Chris Gibbons and Zach Lipshitz. The team has a lot to look for with these experienced players along with new faces including Peter Yarem and others.
This year preview-The team is looking forward to this season, and they are ready to do some damage. I feel the coaching change mixed with the right amount of young players, and veterans will allow the team to make a deep run in the county and state tournament.
