Local communities receive grant aid from state to fund road repair

Scotch Plains and Fanwood are two of 377 municipalities in New Jersey that were awarded local aid grants from the New Jersey Department of Transportation to complete road projects. Scotch Plains received $244,000 and Fanwood received $250,000 to repair weather-related potholes. As reported in the March issue of The Fanscotian, the severe storms this winter caused more damage than in past years.
