On Friday, June 18, Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School’s annual Senior Prom was held at The Imperia in Somerset. The event took place later in the evening from 7 to 11 p.m.

“The most memorable thing for the prom night for me was just being able to spend time with my closest friends and dance together and have one amazing last night before our senior year is over,” senior Olivia Calcaterra said.

Calcaterra, among others, was excited to have a normal maskless prom night. After a year of shifting physical and virtual student attendance, a major event like prom added a bit more pressure than usual.

“I expected it to be weird with everyone in the grade there and was a little stressed at first on how the night would go,” Calcaterra said.

Nevertheless, after the loss of their Junior Prom last May, the seniors were excited to gather for the second-to-last time as a class for a night of celebration.
