On Thursday, January 26, the SPFHS French club met to make Valentine’s day cards for the special needs children of First Children’s hospital in Fanwood. Altogether, the members decorated approximately 80 unique cards to brighten the patient’s’ day.
Making Valentine’s Day cards is a French Club tradition. They meet around this time every year to make them. However, this is their first year working with First Children’s hospital.
“The role of the French Club is not just to explore and enhance our knowledge on francophone culture, but to engage in our community by putting a smile to children of all different backgrounds,” senior and vice president Michael Lockfeld said.
