Even though the applications have been sent, seniors are not yet in the clear, as there are other trials and tribulations to overcome before graduation. Hudson, a Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School senior, gave permission to The Fanscotian to document his college application process and his senior year.
At the end 2015, Hudson was able to cross off sending all of his college applications on his list. Now, at the start of 2016, Hudson definitely has something to celebrate: his first acceptance letter! East Stroudsburg University ranks in the middle of his list. Hudson should be expecting the rest of his letters to arrive before the end of winter.
“It was overwhelming from start to end.” said Hudson. “But in the end, it was a proud achievement.”
As he waits for the rest of his letters to arrive, Hudson has now focused his attention on scholarships.
“I had a meeting for the 2016 seniors and it discussed about scholarships and I was going to do that locally,” said Hudson.
Scholarships are not the only factors that are going to contribute to Hudson committing to a school. Hudson will also consider the size of the school, the proximity, and the majors that the school has to offer.
The Fanscotian will continue to share Hudson’s journey through the college application process.
