The Black Student Union’s annual fashion and talent show fundraiser was held this past Friday, November 20.
All students are welcome participate, either and modeling clothes in a number of categories or showcasing any talents they may have. This year, the talents were spread throughout the different themed walks. Several students sang, both with music and acapella. There were also several spoken-word poetry performances. The winner of a major poetry contest in Newark made an appearance as well, sharing his poem.
The dance and step teams both performed as well. The step team’s four core members performed alone and then alongside their newest members. They then brought on three alumni steppers, a crowd favorite.
Friends and family of the participants all came to support, erupting with applause after each performance. The stage was flooded with students, fashion, talent, and fun– just like it is every year.
