Overview: The golf team finished with a record of 18-2 in 2014. The season which was one of the best season’s in recent memory was highlighted by big wins against Westfield (twice) St. Peter’s Prep (2nd ranked team in the state at the time) and Governor Livingston. Unfortunately for the Raiders they graduated two seniors, Brennan Brady and Sam Bebout, and they lost freshman phenom John Pak. Pak who was primed to be one of the greatest athletes SPFHS has ever seen moved to Florida to pursue a more competitive, and year round golf schedule. However, the team will move on with great senior leadership from tri-captains Connor Smith, Jeremy Haas and Tyler Dencker. Smith who was team MVP in 2013 is the only four year starter on the team, but Haas and Dencker will both be key factors in the team’s success. The six man starting lineup will be rounded out by junior Jackson Cooney and freshman Louie Daniele. They will see a variety of new names in the six slot.
This year preview: This year the team will look to do damage similar to last year. If the team receives big years from the seniors they will be SPF’s best chance of getting a state championship ring come late May.
Coach: Ryan Goracy

Quotes from key players: “Losing John Pak is a big impact on the team because he is an amazing player, but I still have very high hopes. We have three seniors that can fill his shoes, and I believe we have the talent to make it back to the Tournaments of Champions. I also hope is similar to that of last year,” senior captain Jeremy Haas
