The SPFHS Repertory Theatre presents its Spring production “Freaky Friday a New Musical” this week. The musical rendition of the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and Disney adaptions is described as “a heartfelt, comedic and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic”. The show follows quarreling mother and daughter, Katherine and Ellie, as they switch bodies and are forced to live each other’s life.
“The lights and costumes are really special this year. [The cast] is really proud of all our hard work,” soundboard assistant Keira Hoey said.
Catch the performances this Thursday, March 13, Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m., and Sunday 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at SPFHSREP.COM. The cost is $16 for students and seniors and $18 for adults.
