At 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, the family and friends of Scotch Plains – Fanwood High School Music Department seniors were invited to the Maya Ungar Auditorium for the annual senior music recital.
Consisting of performances from various band and choir seniors; the recital gave the soon-to-be-graduates a chance to showcase their talents. One student danced, multiple students sang, bands performed, and various instruments were played.
Standing out amongst the performances were no less than two Mario Medleys played by bands, and filling the gaps between performances were the two MCs, Emersyn Teicher and Graeme Daniskas.
“Emersyn and I have worked together this whole year, so to end our final performance working together and introducing everyone was great,” Daniskas told The Fanscotian.
As choir officers Graeme and Emersyn often worked closely together, organizing choir events, maintaining the choir room space, and collaborating with others.
The event was advertised on the Choir’s Instagram, and all music students were encouraged to attend and support their graduating peers.
“I think it’s bittersweet that tonight’s our last night, but I’m proud of everybody and I’ve loved working with everybody over the past 4 years,” Teicher said. “It’s been a great experience being in the music department.”
While the seniors will be dearly missed, SPFHS wishes them good luck on their post-high school journey.
