All over the world, there are chain fast food restaurants that serve hundreds of people a day. At Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, the seniors have the ability to go out for lunch every day, and some common choices are Qdoba, Wawa, Fanwood Bagel among others. However, the most popular are Chipotle (“Chip”) and Chick-fil-A (“Chick”). The Fanscotian spoke to current SPFHS seniors to see if they prefer “Chip” or “Chick.”
These two fast-food restaurants have two very different types of food. “Chick” serves items like chicken sandwiches, nuggets, fries, milkshakes and more. While “Chip” serves Mexican fast food where customers can create their own burritos or bowls, adding chips and guacamole, and soda on the side. Each offers very different cuisines and options to choose from.
So which of these two places do SPF seniors prefer?
“I prefer Chick, because I really like their chicken sandwiches,” senior Ella Burgio said.
“I like Chick-Fil-A better because lately at Chipotle their food has been undercooked and they don’t give you enough food, and Chick-fil-A tastes better,” senior Katie Fitzgerald said.
The Fanscotion sent out a form to all the students to see if they would rather eat at “Chick” or “Chip”. In the results of the form, “Chip” won with a vote of 51.6% while “Chick” lost with a vote of 48.4%.
SPF students have spoken: when it comes to lunch most students would choose “Chip” over “Chick”.
