If you’re always looking for a new artist, new song or music style to cling on to. If you love to embrace your interest and love for an “underground,” or “indie,” artist before they reach mainstream popularity. If you love to say “I listened to their music before they got popular” to others to find a sense of superiority. If you relate to any of the previous statements, then I have the perfect artist for you.
Through a simple TikTok promoting his song “Out of Bounds” and 2022 EP, Demos Before Prom, I discovered Malcolm Todd and his music. His style instantly clicked with me as I started to favor groovier and more upbeat instrumentals. In a span of two years, Todd has continued to establish his style, gone on tour, released two projects and released numerous catchy singles.
Here are my five song recommendations for Malcolm Todd’s music (plus one honorable mention):
