SPFHS Prepares for Festivities of the Winter Break with a Holiday Themed Spirit Week

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School’s Student Government Association (SGA) created a spirit week itinerary this week to prepare for the long winter break ahead.

So there have been a few years [since I started here in 2007] that there has been a winter spirit week,” SGA Advisor Cynthia Prybella said. “In general, we like to do them several times a year in hopes of just having some extra fun during the regular routine of things.”

On Monday, students wore all kinds of comfy clothes. Sweaters, pajamas, you name it!

Tuesday was holiday sweater day. Festive sweaters galore!

Holiday hats were the theme for Wednesday. At least one red and white holiday hat could be found in every classroom.

The student body manifested some snow Thursday during spirit week’s concluding event: white out!

All in all, this student-run event was a great way to spread some holiday cheer before the winter break. Be sure to look out for more spirit weeks in the spring and at the end of the year!
