Zodiac signs are known for being quite controversial–and for good reason! Many people do not believe that the stars can determine someone’s personality or mood on a given day, but others are firm believers in the power of astrology. The most well known topic of astrology is the zodiac signs, which correlate with your birthday and are rumoured to have an impact on you as a person. One of these signs is the sagittarius, which is for people born between Nov. 23 and Dec. 21.

“The Sagittarius sign is represented by a centaur named Chiron holding a bow and arrow,” Prep Scholar said. “It is also sometimes called the archer sign.”

Chiron is a nurturing spirit that takes the form of a centaur. He portrays the animalistic side of human nature (explaining why he is a centaur, half-horse, half-human) and this represents the sagittarius sign so accurately because they are known to love nature and adventure.

The sagittarius zodiac sign is also known for having a great sense of humor, natural curiosity and spontaneity, but is also known for being quite restless and often having a renowned ability to break promises.

This unique outlook on life creates many strengths for the sagittarius, such as being innovative because of their natural curiosity of the world and having a very unique perspective on life. On the other hand, sagittariuses can struggle to stay focused and may ignore some people’s opinions due to their erratic behavior and need to focus on only the positives in life, rather than being realistic. 

“I love to explore and go on adventures which is one thing that’s so important about being a sagittarius,” senior Mia Aponte said. “December sagittarius (although zodiac signs are split throughout the months, many believe that the month you are born in can still impact what qualities you inherit from your sign) are very bright, bubbly, and open minded people which I think definitely aligns with my personality. Overall, I’d say zodiacs are very accurate and definitely align with a person’s personality.”

Another important aspect of the sagittarius sign to note is their ability to have life-long relationships. Sagittariuses tend to struggle with friendships because they view friendship as something temporary, or are afraid to commit to talking to friends frequently. This means that they could see someone once a month and still consider them a close friend, and this can be very confusing for people with a different zodiac sign.

Romantic relationships can be difficult to maintain for some sagittariuses because their constant need for change and adventure can prevent them from settling down with someone; however, open lines of communication will do wonders for sagittariuses and can lead to very rewarding relationships. 

“The most compatible signs with Sagittarius are generally considered to be Aries, Leo, Libra and Aquarius,” Compatible Astrology said. “The least compatible signs with Sagittarius are generally considered to be Virgo and Pisces.”
