As fall sports come to an end, most sports’ seasons are coming to a close or are completing in the final stages of meets or games. On Saturday girls gymnastics took home second place at sectionals at St Thomas Aquinas.
The team as a whole scored a 106.95, which was one of the best they had scored; they were planning and hoping to make it to states but unfortunately missed it by .375 of a point.
Individually freshman Shay Farley and sophomore TT Singletarry are competing this upcoming Thursday at state individuals. Shay Farley advanced all around while TT Singletarry advanced for vault.
Some big tricks shown at the meet were by Jordana Reisberg who competed a front toss connected to a back tuck on beam. Elisa Bianco competed with a big back handspring back layout step out in beam. While TT Singletarry competed a Yurichanko on vault. Shay Farley competed with an amazing double back tuck on floor and stuck all her tumbling passes.
The 2019-2020 gymnastics season was one of the best seasons the gymnastics program has ever seen, with record-breaking scores and new members of the team. Go watch Shay Farley and TT Singletarry complete this Thursday at states!
