SPFHS Alumni Renaldo Nehemiah is one of seven New Jersey athletes inducted into the NJSIAA Bollinger Hall of Fame on December second 2013. Nehemiah is most notable for his track career where he was ranked the top 110m hurdler in the world for consecutive years. He was the first man to run the 110m hurdles in under 13 seconds. After his track career he played wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers where he won Super Bowl XIX. While at Scotch Plains Fanwwod High School where he won the “Prep Athlete of the Year” which is an award given for the top high school athlete.
