New club introduces students to future careers in medical field
May 20, 2013
Students with Potential Careers in Medicine (SPCM) is a currently developing group of students wishing to explore their common interest. Advised by biology teacher Lauren Denicola, the club invites medical and health professionals to talk to members and guests. So far, SPCM has hosted discussions with nutritionist Lauren Conocio, gastroenterologist David Rosenheck and Scotch Plains rescue squad chief Dan Sullivan. Next year, the club hopes to investigate the possibility of internships in the medical field for its members.
